Meet Curt

I'm Curt Jacobs, founder of Maplewood Ag in Geneseo, Illinois. I grew up on our family farm, and I still work it today — so the decisions I help other growers make are the same ones I make on my own ground.

I started out selling Prairie Hybrids seed. Season after season, I saw growers on fertility programs that didn't fit what their crops needed, and I started digging into why. We started with this on our own farm, then expanded to working with growers all across the Grain Belt.

Our Story

Maplewood Ag began in seed: bringing consistent genetics to honest, hardworking growers.

But fertility decisions felt unclear, input costs kept rising, and waste was everywhere. So we expanded into helping growers understand their soil and make fertility decisions that actually make sense.

Today we work with growers across the Grain Belt who want straightforward guidance and a partner for the long haul — not another sales pitch.
